So many changes coming our way

We have been busy going through some personal, financial, professional, family, and “any other area you can imagine” CHANGES. Like all changes they are bringing many opportunities and exciting brand new scenarios for us to bring out the best in us. I’ve been enjoying the ride all the way. It has been challenging but more fun than anything else. It has kept me busy, busy. I can’t really go into details but I will give you this much I’ll be taking on a whole new job and possibly moving as well, waooo! exciting!

This is Jessey one of our letterpress gurus. We have 3 letterpress vendors. We give must of our work to Jessey because his shop is about 10 blocks from us, so is very convenient. But also because he has 40 years of experience within the printing business and on top of that he has the best sense of humor ever (very important for business relationships). It always reminds me to not take life so serious.

As you might know already, we get our biggest “high” designing, so printing is one of those things we rather outsource (specially letterpress printing). That doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy watching the printer move and shake. Jessey’s shop is like a candy shop to me. I have to say is not cute nor organized, actually is a complete guy shop kind of mess. But it’s fascinating to see how he maneuvers these machines with such an ease and grace combined with an eye for aesthetics (even though I have seen some awful car+girl posters in some corners of the shop, is contradicting, I know) .

There are many types of letterpress printers. For those of you who have never seen one, I thought this was a good way of seeing one in action. The one in the video is from the 1940’s, isn’t amazing that 60 years later someone is still making money out of it?

I LOVE these prints designed by Made By Girl. Aren’t they beautiful? I’ve always admired them and I want to get one for the house.

I’m so indecisive that I wouldn’t know which color to choose but now that Jennifer is launching new colors I think I would definitely want either the Seafoam or the new Coconut White one.
